THE STORY OF "POR TU AMOR"
The residences of little coast town San Carlos are living peacefully, until the arrival of the rich, mysterious man Marco Duran (Saul Lizaso).
Marcos presence will awake old stories and burn big passions.
Maria del Cielo (Gabriela Spanic) is a pretty girl that with her personality takes the heart of Marco Duran in a second. He sees in her the girl, he had always dreamed about. The problem is that, Maria del Cielo sees him as an intruder, who thinks to destroy the peaceful life of the town's people, with his money. She is a very proud girl; she lives with her father Nicolas, grandmother and sister Brisa (Margarita Mangana). Cielo substitutes the mother to Brisa that they lost when they were just little girls. Cielo is engaged to a town doctor Sergio Zambrano (Gerardo Murguia). During the wedding preparations, she learns that Sergio has fallen under the influence of her sister Brisa and that he spends a wild passionate night on a beach with her. To keep a good family name, Maria del Cielo is sacrificing her love-she breaks up her engagement to Sergio and forces him to marry Brisa. Towards Marco, Cielo shows nothing but despise and anger, she is not aware that slowly she started to fall in love with him. Marco doesn't know his roots; he grew up as an orphan and that left big trails in his life. But, in spite of that with his persistence he makes their big fortune. In front of Cielo, he acts like a bastard, without any manners and education. Even, he is in love with Cielo; his long time mistress is Miranda (Katie Barberi). Miranda is a young adventuress, who is capable of doing everything to marry him. The big part in San Carlos belongs to Raquel scared, because of big secret, for what she thought that it was buried away in the past... Sergio is unhappy in his marriage with Brita's he comes to bother Cielo all the time. Cielo knows, that the only way to get rid of him would be if she accepts Marco's marriage proposal... Now, there are a lot of things working against Marco and Cielo and Miranda comes with a vengeance to take what's hers.
